OH MY LORD. I saw it midnight premier. I honestly couldnt look away. The best review ive heard is from rotten tomatoes: from some woman from the denver post. but seriously. go see this movie. zohair you're crazy if you don't think this will be the biggest movie of the summer (if not the whole year). Ledger has the oscar. He literally becomes the joker. Somehow he acts like the persona of the joker is really all there is to the character (i.e. there's no one underneath the make up; the make up is all there is) but still gives him such incredible depth. It's really nothing short of astounding. Here's a not really spoiler of how awesome he is: He walks into this mob meeting, jams a pencil vertically into the table, and declares that he will "make it disappear." This big black bodyguard walks over to him to deal with him, so he bashes the guards head on the table right over the pencil. The guard falls to the ground and the pencil is gone. The entire audience was like "OH SNAP!" I don't own a single DVD but I am absolutely buying this movie when it comes out.
Ironman or the hulk have nothing on this masterpiece. Did anyone stay for ledger's memoria in the credits, I did and so did a lot of my theater and gave a standing ovation, great movie, reccomended.
Okay guys i don't want to ruin this for anyone but isn't this movie overrated just because it was heath ledger's last actingjob? Here in Amsterdam everyone just wants to see the movie because ledger plays in it :/ Now i read all the comments and everyone says its great (sure hope it is), but still,i think it was overrated before it was released just because ledger played in it...
No. It really is that good. By the end of the movie you can definatly feel the corruption and the chaos that the Joker has spread. And the other character that get introduced (Harvey Dent aka...) is a very powerful character as well
It's definitely not because Ledger played in it, it's because of his PERFORMANCE in it. You don't even think of him has Heath Ledger in the movie, he IS the Joker. I saw the midnight showing, and it was rediculously good. I'd easily go see it again, and it's definitely gonna be a DVD I'm gonna buy. Plus the plot was pretty awesome. I'm not sure how I feel about some parts of the ending, but I definitely like the direction that the ending took.
he was doing another film before he died, Dark Knight isnt his final one. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is heaths final film.
Remix lies, its really Brokeback Mountain 2, its codename is just as above. This is one of the very few movies where I watched via alternative methods, THEN saw it in the theaters to get a better feel for it, and I still intend to actually purchase the movie when it comes out. Heath is in no way apparent as an individual, he really is The Joker in this movie. Also, if you saw the earlier movies, there is a lot of subtle hints towards what Remix said early regarding Harvey Dent, I caught on around mid movie that he would be that individual.
