i played basketball when i was 14, but when you have the ball don't panic, run that ball down the court and in no time that baby is going to be like swoop!

What position do you play? Are you like a guard, or are you more of a big man?

passing is key, get your team to make swift, hard passes. bounce passes when your close to the net with the big guys. If they have some big guys on their team, drive for the layup, even if you miss, theres a good chance you will get fouled, or at least get a foul call.

On defense try to keep low and work on shuffling your feet. Palms up. When they shoot get up in their face.

Palms up, low, don't cross your logs, work alot on the muscle of your thighs. Work on layups, and free throws, and once you can make 7/10 free throws or better every time, and once you can make both right and left handed layups everytime, move on to mid range shooting, (points at the top of the free throw) once you can hit those pretty well, move out to three pointers...(do you normal drills too, like passing, learn to do real crisp chest passes and bounce passes) and you should be good. It won't happen evernight, take a few years, really, but keep working at it, you'll be fine.

Off the ball offense, set plenty of screens and move around non-stop your defender will eventually get tired and you'll get open.
