how can you compare a election to a poll like this, yes they have vote for me campaigns but its alot more serious than a little poll. They have those vote for me campaigns so they can get all of their issues accross and they can tell people what they will be doing if they vote for them. People also know what the other candidates are promoting so they get more of a choice. On these polls we are talking about people are just saying vote for me, im this one, vote for that one and alot of people do because they know the person thats asking you to, they dont give the others the chance and to be honest it dont really affect them for the next 4 years. So yes you do need a bit of charm a reputuation and other traits but those other traits do not include cheating.

    Exactly.

The other persons in the poll doesn't have a clue that (sorry kirbir) for example kirbir is asking for votes on an internet site which she is very famous on.
You can't compare a poll on the Internet with a election for the next President. It ain't the same.

And does Russia demand Belarus, Ukraine, and all other countries that votes for them - to vote for them?
No, they don't do ----, but since they are countries that are 'friends' and are next to eachother, they vote for them.
    It's the same thing.

yeah, I do agree with you to a certain extend

but what I am trying to illustrate is ... voting is never fair
the best person might not always win

but that's probably the best way to pick a "winner"

IMHO, cheating is when you are paid to vote for that person

Ok i'm not even bothered that you have used me for an example but that competition has been rigged for the 3 years it has been running, the same people won twice in a row even though their house was clearly far from the best, also there were ALOT of complaints about both those years because they should'nt have won.

We know the people who won the last 2 years, we also know that they get their work collegues/friends/family/friends of friends to vote so i did nothing that they was'nt actually doing themselves.

Also i did'nt do this for myself to win but i was sick of the damn competition being rigged all the time and letting the same people win every single year so why should'nt i post and ask people to vote for my mum and dad who clearly should have won all the years it has been running?

Not trying to sound rude or anything but i know for a fact that our house was the best on that list, it is the same people in the competition all the time and we all know that we get other people to vote. Also if you looked right at the end, we had like 49% of the votes which tells me that the winners of the last 2 years had ALOT of people vote for them also, we are usually always infront of them until right near the end of the competition when they suddenly shoot up the poll, which also tells me again that it is rigged.

No matter what competition is going, people will always get others to vote for them which you could say is 'cheating' but everyone does it so i am no different to any other person wanting to help my mum and dad win. If it was my own competition then i would not have done it, but as i have already said, this wasn't for me, it was for my mum and dad.

Also just because i am 'popular' which i do not think i am, i am just 'known' on this forum, that should not sway anyones vote, they could easily vote for someone else if they clearly thought that another persons house was better than my own, as i know many people have done when i have asked someone to vote for something.

you might not think that but you kirbir, ive spoken to you off of the site and i know that you are as genuine that they come, this was never meant to be ained at you in particular i used you as an example because you are popular and you have the popularity to be able to sway that sort of poll.

2 wrongs dont make a right, if they are cheating let them cheat, dont sink to there level

I know it isn't aimed at me personally which is why i am not taking offense :P

Ok so your saying that even when all of the competitors are cheating and getting alot of people to vote for them i should just try to win it fairly?

Well i did do that for the last 2 years but the same people won both times when clearly their house was not the best, nor is it this year. The competition has always been rigged and always will be until they stop the competition, why should i let our house have the lowest amount of votes all the time when the other people are getting loads of votes?

Even if i didn't give a name i am pretty sure that i would have got more votes from the guys on here. Someone said in a post a page or so back that 60% of the forum knows my name so if i wasn't to put my name on there they would all still know that the house was mine because of the name next to it, well he was wrong because my name isn't Karen, lol.

i can tell u this with those morals ull wont get very far in life
whos to say whats right or wrong?

what u think is right is what "good" ppl have told u but it does not mean its true

so the 2 wrongs to make a right thats acutally quite true
look at it mathematically negative plus negative equal a postive b/c they cancel out

if the compitition is rigged every year dont enter, if they cheat just be bigger and not give up but if they are sad enough to cheat at a christmas lights compitition then be bigger than them and let them do it
