It seems to me, that everyone in the auction section doesn't seem quite fair. Ok, most people you see posting packs, psd's, and other stuff in the auction room, they have it ALL organized about the bids(start, up bin ect.) but no time limit...I think they should have to post when the auction ends, because most of the time when people ask "When does this end?", they usually say, "when im happy or its binned." Basically, if they get say even a crappy bid of 100 creds but auction ends, they should have to still hand over the psd or whatever it is that they sold for the given amount of creds, simply because if were not allowed to withdraw bids, why should the be able to withdraw the product? Same thing goes for when they say "i will not sell if not satisfied." My point is, if all there looking for is a bin, they it should be posted in offers and requests section.

So basically to sum it up, they should have to have a set time limit, and sell the product to the highest bidder at the end of the time.

I highly doubt anyone will agree with me because it will screw up there market place, but i just think this doesnt seem quite fair...

Ok, 80% of the people probably dont follow that rule. Another thing is, they say "i reserve the right not to sell if im not happy with the bids."

Well, if they make there own prices, why the ------ should they be unhappy with THERE OWN PRICES THEY MADE!?

Every auction has a reserve,if someone reserve is 1k, they might let it go for 800-900

If it is past a week, and they keep the auction going you dont have to pay i think, because rules are rules. I know I wouldnt pay.

    example
    I make 100 c4d effects

only one person bids and its 100 creds

you think i should sell my c4d effects then, the answer pretty obvious isnt it

Yes i do think you should have to sell them, you dont go to ebay and win an auction then have the guy say "i didnt want $5, so you dont get it."

people have reserves on ebay, if the reserve isnt met they wont sell, this is the auction section there will always be reserves, so unless it doesnt reach my reserve i dont have to sell

because in a auction you can always get more then what you expect

    I sold 50 c4d effects for 1.4k, my reserve was 800 creds

Exactly, I know you CAN make more then you expected, but what if you dont? its the other persons loss, and thats not right.

As maj has stated already, auctions can not last any longer than a week, i also think that you can not sell that same item again in the auction room if you did not sell it (pretty sure that is a rule also).

People start their auctions low because it attracts more bidders, if you had an auction and your reserve was say 400 and you started your auction at 3-400 you will notice that not many people will bid, which is why alot of members start their auctions between 50-100 credits depending on what they are selling.

I myself will not sell something i have made if i do not like the price at the end of my auction, i put the time and effort into making my piece so i should have the right to decline the bid that has been made in my auction for whatever reasons i may have for doing so.

If you spent a few hours making a 100 pack of c4d's and you only got a bid of 100, your saying you would still sell that pack? I am sorry but i highly doubt that you would, that would be 1 credit for a c4d which the buyer could then sell the pack for ur for about 50 credits and gain alot more profit than you did when you sold them for full rights.

Retracting bids and not accepting bids are 2 totally different things. :)

But it should be your risk for putting it up in auctions, you dont wanna low prices, dont auction it.

And of course, no i wouldnt WANT to sell that "pack" but if i was entitled to it seems fair enough.

With the "reserves" and "low starts", its just a bunch of spam posts basically.

Ok, starting price is 50, reserve is 200.

I post start. you know hes not gonna sell it, so that was a worthless post.

    I can see both sides.
I have to side more with kirbir, J Maj.
If your not satisfied, then you don't have to sell. I think taht needs to be stated when you set it up though. I did add an ending date, becaus emy reserve was met. If it goes up awesome, if not, i'm happy :)
