Auction Room Rules/ideas!

What not to auction!

1. CD keys acquired legally/illegally or from keygens

2. Porn/adult material - no 18+ material can be sold or bought via the Auction room or Marketplace.

3. You may not sell Steam Accounts period.

4. You may not sell Warez or non-freeware programs; this includes but not limited to:

- Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, non-free games etc
- TemplateMonster templates
- Templates you didn't create( must have permission of some sort to show )

5. Anything else illegal - if your not allowed to sell it elsewhere then please do not sell it here!

6. GAMERENDER accounts.

7. You may not sell Gaming Accounts for any games.

Recently, alot of people have been selling their GameRender accounts, and/or buying them. Why is this a problem? Often all they do on these accounts is spam to get post count up, or add a Premium membership to it. Not to mention your selling reputation. For now on, selling GameRender or "forum" accounts is not allowed, unless the account was created before the following date:
- April 1st, 2005.

Note that scripts such as VBulletin and IPB 2+, and templates such as Template Monster.com and eXtremePixels ones are also not allowed to be sold, since they cannot be legally re-distributed.

GuildWars accounts may not be resold/traded. This is against their TOS and is no longer allowed on GameRenders. This includes selling any item or account for credits/services or cash.

Do not sell items that you do not own or that you do not have permission to sell. In the case of brush/render/etc packs, you must have permission from the original creator to redistribute them.


Ideas of what you can sell:
- Premium Membership accounts*
- Any of your personal work; PSDs, sigs, brushes, fonts, templates, etc
- GameWallPaper accounts
- Domain names
- Expensive items from the GR Shop (reselling, all but the Arcade adult password allowed)
- Any worldly possesions you own, contact a mod to help sort out such things. For example: RAM for computer, etc

Worldly possessions such as food, drinks, clothing, virginity, etc are not allowed to be sold, for obvious reasons.

- If your a premium member, your advertising spot at the bottom
- X-box live accounts
- Photoshop, ImageReady, Cinema4d, Ulead Cool3d, and Apophysis lessons to people (Other programs allowed, these are just suggestions/examples!)
- Reselling the ownership of a shop you own.

*- If your selling a Premium Membership, the best way to do this after the auction is all over, is to log into the person's account and then buy the Premium Membership that way, with the person changing their password after.

Transferring of already paid for Premium Memberships are not done by Admins or Mods, the only way you could do this; is if you sold your account off.


Did we miss something? PM a mod or admin to have it added.

The Mod & Admin team have the right to change these rules as we see fit, at anytime without notification.

n another thing... i think you should ban the right of selling accounts... you get them for free by registering, spam alot and do other work... then you get paid real money for an account you just spammed and got credits from for high price.. i think its bs imo

 

It is BS really, and now people are trying to buy your account so they can resell it for even more. The thing that will start cracking down on that is the gaining credits for posting being turned off. So don't worry about it.

 

New rules in place

 

Thank you BFTP I think you should enforce that rule big time, with stiff penalties personally. Otherwise nothing will come of it.

 

Good rules, hopefully it will crack down on some of the spamming and such here at GR. Just one question, on Gez's rule list (in announcements, http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=32300) it states: Worldly possessions such as food, drinks, clothing, virginity, etc are not allowed to be sold, for obvious reasons.

But on your list it's allowed, just wanted to bring this to your attention, so as not to confuse anyone.
