According to your gallery stats, you have 862 renders...

iPhotoshop has 8,794...so it's not the biggest render database on the net...

Uhm, why..? What if that person changes his/her's mind about a sig, and chooses to buy something else? That isn't fair, and it only benefits the person who started the auction imo.

It's simply annoying that people open up an auction and decide not to sell cause theyre not satisfied with the bid. That's the problem.

-You can retract bids on eBay.

-eBay has reserves, it is the same thing.

-You can make private offers on eBay, Sitepoint and just about every other site I have come across that you can sell things at. New people joining GR will think it is stupid, it will be one of the only sites that does it.

There are in fact over 48000 renders on GR .

    26,514 renders

    8,550 prem renders

    12,548 requests , most fullfilled

plus the 862 renders in gallery

Works out at 48474 in total . Disregard pinned threads and rounded it down.

It's the point what sly wants to make clear. And i totally agree with him. People will start their tags at 1000 and nobody will bid lol

    Well Master said this:

So I clarified some things on eBay which contridict his original points. If he thinks eBay is how auctions are meant to be and he also thinks GR should be, then I was showing him how his original points were not effective.

Some people would you that like you vogue. becuase you sell your tags like 1-2k. And other people would mind that much tho but still you got a good point. I sell alot of stuff but if doest reech reserve i will not sell.

vogue brought a good point, the acution prices will just increase to the minimum price owner would sell for

and since i doubt mods/admins would put a rule for standard price to start a tag/lp/template since it'll kill the acution market

i see no use in the rule that says owner has to sell

so really that rule is just making the starting price increase

the rest i see no problems

GodX, I dont think that would be a problem, just put a max start price on tags, lps, etc. Example: max tag start price...err, 700. That would prevent it from going too high and keep things in check. I think this is a great idea, because it is very unfair for people to not sell, just put your start at 1k if you wont sell it for anything below. I'm all for this "rule" being implemented, it will help many users out. I also agree with many of Dementia & Master's statements:

I see that alot as well, but thats one more thing this rule could fix. There is alot of debate over this, but most people against it are against it because they see no profit for themselves. It WILL benefit alot of people, look at the greater portion and think of more than yourself.

I like the idea of not being able to withdraw bids, and had thought that was already a rule in place on our forums.

I do not however, like the idea of forcing someone to sell something, when it doesnt meet their desired worth. Then choosing the right to not have to sell is no different then a private reserve on ebay. What happens when the private reserve isnt met? The item doesnt get sold.

true, about the small canvas thing especially. and i think the no retracting bid thing is good, all the high quality tag artist would need to do in order to prevent theyre tags from going for low prices is start it at a reserve, so higher demands as starting prices, like 700 cred

Well then we should be allowed to retract our bids, if they have the rights not sell, then we have the right to retract our bid

Not really, cause im sure some people occasionally bid just to bump prices for their friends.
