I've suggested this for almost 3 years here, at gamerenders. Everyone always agrees, yet it seems to never gets used. It's an easy suggestion.

Please make the auction room more realistic. Please.

Make it so there is ABSOLUTELY NO RETRACTING OF BIDS.
Set a rule so there is no "I MAY NOT SELL IF I DO NOT FIND THE PRICE SUITABLE"
Please dissalow from PRIVATE OFFERSS (which 50% of them have been fake, to not lose credits)

Basically, the auction room is currently run like offers & requests, except with bids.. Yet the same rules apply.

Half the time, auctions don't even work because highest bidder *somehow* never gets it.

    Go team of Shagically72! :)

    Thats a horrible idea.

What if im new and accidentally type something or look in the wrong topic accidentally.

It is YOUR item, you can sell at whatever price. I am not giving a --- tag for some crap like 200creds.

    Private offers teh roxors.

    horrible idea...

Great idea, I mean I cant retract my bid, but they have the right not to sell that bull imo. I mean why should my creds be tied to one auction when I am not even garuteed(sp) it

People would then start there biddings at 500, and then no one will bid cause it's too high and we'll all be pissed off.

I think its a great idea. It will get rid of those egocentric '---' signaturea makers who think they are something because they can work on a small canvas. Also, PMs and MSN/AIM/YIM bids are hard to monitor, so I think all bids should be done in topic as well, no more private bids.

I also think you need to have the credits ON THE ACCOUNT YOU BID ON prior to bidding. Too many times have I seen people ask their friends to bid higher so that someone else will bid even higher, and its BS.

Why do you want to keep adding more and more rules to this site, there are already loads and now you want it to be stricter. Tis a shame.

How are these a bad thing? They make sense, and all they're trying to do is even the playing field in the auctions. Here, reserved make little sense if you want to set one you should just set it as your minimum bid.

Well, honestly, and again, that's the point of auctions. Anyone who is mature would use it, and we would use it correctly. I would be one of them.

This isn't a "rule", really. It's just revamping something that needs to be revamped. No new "rules" are added. This is how it should've/should be in the first place.

Glad the administration agrees. Btw, there will always be people negative on this, but realize one thing; those are the people that are making the auction room a complete JOKE.

I think it is a great idea. With the Cliqs that are created in this place any group has the ability to shoot the price of their auctions up to whatever they want in a bidding war with friends and other people who usually dont have the credits on them that they are bidding. And usually if it doesnt reach the price they want they just have a buddy win it with a over the top bid.

    It is a great idea.

All Im saying is, gr will die even faster. People go here only for the selling stuff, and with this, it makes the auction room harder to do, etc.

Gr will die if this happens.

No offense, but I would personally rather have 1,000 active people here that are mature and want to use the auction room AS AN AUCTION ROOM, and not a joke; rather than having 10,000 immature members who want to get loopholed from every auction.

Tiller, hush, honestly, of all the people here complaining about how much you can sell something, you shouldn't be one of them. Your lucky to even still be here at the site.

Also, people actually come here to not sell and buy, people come here for renders (as its STILL the largest render database on the net). The point of rules is to stop people from abusing the system. 90% of the rules on this site are here because someone abused something and forced us to put them in place.
