yeah, i discovered this before i came to GR, i haven't had a reason to use it..my gfx suck, but one of em i made uber-1337 and some guy tried ripping it...told him to take it off, he used opera or something, and then flipped when he found it...no trace of him since lol

then this entire thing is pointless...the visible watermark will be your best bet, someone can steal it, because the majority of gfx community doesn't use ie based browsers, it wouldn't matter.

The whole point of it is that if you suspect someone of ripping then you look at it in a IE browser.

To add on to what the guy above me said.. Most GFX forums that I have been on do not tolerate ripping. So you can prove from the watermark on IE, take a Screenshot, and post it to get that member banned.. This is useful, but I am too lazy to do it myself..

Whats the point in this? you cannot see the watermark UNLESS you have it highlighted...if someone rips your work how many people are going to hit control+a or

highlight it personally...its quite worthless for anybody that looks at it will not see it since its hiddne

    am i right>?

an invisible watermark is the best one as long as there is a way to recall it when needed.
so this is one is great and only visible to IE users so rippers using another browser are more likely to be exposed.
this one works fine. alltho it slightly interferes with the image but so do all watermarks.

unless you want to advertise your logo/brand the point of an image watermark is to make it hardly noticable or embedded in the sig without interfering yet difficult to edit out.
