Emo..its short for emotion i guess..idk how to describe it. It started a while ago, but its changed now... the style, small/tight shirts, chicks pants, then there jsut the emo hair..idk how to describe it really.. Associated with people who cut themselfs usually, bands like hawthorne heights, the used, and simple plan. Thats all I can think of. as i said, emo used to be different
Lol, do I like atreyu? My name says it all. No they aren't emo. They are screamo. Emo and screamo are two completely differant things.
Why do you think its called screamo? It's derived from emo, with some screaming here and there. Personally, i only listen to metalcore/death metal. I used to listen to atreyu like 3 years ago, before all the gay goth/emo kids started worshipping them.
yeah, that would be the stereotype that bands/hot topic/mtv created for the emo group. almost every song that is worth while listening to is technically "emo" (as the artist/song writer puts their emotions into their music, which is the meaning of emo, its a song that holds deep emotional impact). Personally i hate mainstream people who want to claim themselves as emo so they dress and act the stereotypical way, but meh, what can you do about it?
That is an extremely stupid reason to not listen to a band....Cuz other people do..people need to learn to lighten up a bit and listen to what THEY want, not what others want and dont not listen to a band cuz certain others do.. Also, .Dementia is exactly right
I was sick of being associated with them. And now they just flat out suck:/ I will admit im pretty close minded about what i listen to.
