is a ATI Radeon X1300 pro 256 MB a nice vid card?
its for a friend, he wants to know it

I my self got a X600 256 MB, is the X1300 better than mine ?

can my friend play computer games on it, with nice settings ?

    thx in advance :)

its ok, i doubt u can play all games on high settings but some you can.. if i were you id get the 6800 GS, around the same price but much better... as for the X1300 being better than ur X600....
its basically the same thing... urs is clocked lower stock but it can be overclocked to what the X1300 pro is clocket at

the x1300 is probably a bit lower the the x600 in terms of performance but has more features such as pixel shader 3.

personally though for a low-end card, you don't need 256 mb of vRam because to play at the settings where you'd need the vRAM you'd need a better graphics proccessor in the card.

you'll be able to play pretty much any game at medium, but it's probably adviseabel tog et another card.

    how much is his budget?

the x1300 is better than the x600 and on par with the 6600 vanila.

If I were you (or your friend) wait a little bit and save up some money. On newegg, you can buy a 7800 GT, which is much better than the 6600 GT, x1300 pro, and many other cards ... currently you can get one for $250 on newegg after rebate ... and prices are always dropping. Or you can get a 6800 GS, which isn't near as good as the 7800 GT ... but much better than those other cards as well, you can get one of those on newegg for about $150 after rebate. Hope this helps :)

You said on this topic that you only had an old crappy Nvidia card ... not a Radeon x700 ... I'm not giving you a graphics card now cause I don't feel sorry for you anymore <_< :D
