Ok everytime I go into C4D and start to work on creating anything, after about two minutes my whole screen freezes and it resets.

    I get this error messageg:

VPU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to your graphics driver commands

Can anyone explain this to me how to fix this problem?

    what card do you have?

what is the rest of your system configuration?

Is your gfx card overheating at all?

do you have the latest drivers?

I dont think it is overheating...and it has worked find for like 2 years. Not sure what exact card or my config is at all...haha.

I should have latest drivers...its not like its a new card.

Sounds like your card. It's either just had it due to being older.. or not powerful enough to run the application you are trying to run. It might also be overheating. I bet its an ATI card, since I believe that manufacturer gives that type of error. You can try shutting it off and see what that does for you.

Display > Settings Tab > Advanced > VPU Recovery Tab Or maybe..
ATI Catalyst> Graphics Settings> VPU Recover.

If you hadn't updated or changed any drivers lattley and it worked fine before. I would still lean torward a new card. That's the only suggestions I have. With out buying one.

Ah, that used to happen on here in stuff like model viewer for WoW. This pc sucks, and only has a 9200SE, so I think it's if it's not powerful enough it just crashes.
Mine used to flash black, freeze, then show me the error message. I've never seen that solution before.
