Ok, I've decided to step up into a good sized hard drive. I'm looking at either a Maxtor 250 gig or a Seagate 250 gig. They are the exact same price, and I personally perfer the Maxtor, but the Maxtor is ATA-133. Now my motherboard says it supports: P ATA - 2 x ATA100 up to 4 Devices SATA I - 2 SATA II - 1 S ATA RAID - RAID 0/1 And seems as how I don't know how ATA works, I was wondering if any of those were the ATA-133, or I would have to buy the Seagate, which is ATA-100. Thanks a lot, ~Elder
Well, (P)ATA = IEDE, most computers can take ATA-133 even if it doesn't say. I believe, don't count me on it.. what mobo do you have? found this, might help: http://www.tweakers.com.au/articles/storage/ata133/page1.asp
