This happens mainly with battlefield 2. When I run it sometimes it just closes and I get "send error report" and "don't send" buttons. I know this is not a virus because I scanned with avast, macafee, and i scanned with ad-aware and spy-bot search and destroy.
could be that your computer can not handle it, either your cpu, memory, or gfx card. do you have the latest drivers for your gfx card?
did you do an at-boot scan with avast? sometimes it finds viruses that are running during setup, and it doesn't recognize it or can't delete it. to do the at-boot scan, go into avast, right click on the ui (users interface), and choose schedule boot time scan, follow the instructions and it will restart and it will start up before you get fully into windows
this is an app error wich is generated by bf2. i did got that shizzle when i had my old pc.. after i bought alot of new components it seeems to be solved
blounder, please give your system specs. I think there is a small bug in BF2. Just check the homepage of BF2 ( http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/bat...ld2/us/home.jsp ) and see if there is a new update. I had the same problem with some other games. Another option: install the newest drivers (motherboard, GFX card) I don't think the problem is with virii or spyware.
That should be enough.... Can you post ur GFX card too? because BF2 only works with 1.4 Pixel Shader cards. and it happens while playing the game? or while you're starting it?
It usually happens while im playing it. Everthing isn't laggy at all but then it just closes in the middle of a game. I'm downloading the newest patch right now... hopefully that will fix it. Merged Post: now bf2 wont wven start up... I don't get any error or anything, it just closes ;(
um thats not true. Because chances are he has a gfx card which supports PS2 as its been around for a while now. Anyways I would talk to EA tech support (thats who makes it isnt it?) as it looks like a game issue.
Where would I be able to find out what video card I have? And where would I be able to download the latest drivers?
to find out video card right click desktop. goto properties. Then to settings. it should say it there under the monitor picture. If its ati download the catalyst drivers from ati.com, if it says nvidia go to nvidia.com and download their latest. Dont forget to use driver cleaner before you update to remove the old drivers.
