Are you talking about stops? Toe stops aren't worth your time, as most times you'll have to do a heel stop anyway. Carving is not really a "beginner" technique, and you'll need to go down a relatively steep hill (circle difficulty at least) to pick it up correctly. Basically, what you've got to do is lean into your turns. It takes a bit of getting used to, mainly to get rid of the fear of falling.

Snowboarding is so awesome. In the NY/NJ/PA area there are a lot of slopes, so my friends and I go pretty frequently. I love it so much.

Snowboardings's really fun given your willing to get out there and do it. As bona said, toe stops are rarely used (at least I never use em).

Its mainly just practice practice like lots of other stuff :)

    I snowboard for fun sometimes.
I'm not that serious where I have my board and go up every week. I go on vacation and stuff... snowboard at Tahoe Heavenly. Pretty fun.

I don't like Snow Boarders ..mostly the ones who don't know what there doing and shave the snow off the mountain ...which means when i'm skiing and i hit the ice...it screws up my rethem....

I do more tricks on skies then most snowboarders can dream about doing on a board

I love snowboarding! I haven't been yet this year, which is sad.:( I'm on the snowboarding team this year, and I was last year. I haven't got a chance to compete because I missed the meet where we got timed, but I'm hoping to compete this year! ..That is, if I'm good enough.
