Have been in many clans for BlackHawkDown and earlier versions of DeltaForce. These days it's a pain to have a clan because everybody is expecting that the leader pays for the damn server and domain :blink:
Clanning, is a term used by gamers, who gather together, and or use tags, such as mine (TrE) as a abvrevation, of there clan, (The Roman Empire) Clans useually are designed to gather players for many purposes. Such as, waring, personal purpose, have friends online,or in a city together who all play the same game, or for just plain fun in the same family, or group (Clan) or (Team) (Guild). Thus creating, a clanning community.
I've been involved in clans since I first played Q3. Had a decent size CS 1.5 clan with LO-en, and it died. I've been in the same Gaming Community now for 2 years. We range from CS, DOD, CS:S, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, and soon as it's released DOD:Source. We're actually looking for people to populate our servers. Ya...thats not legal. I have been involved with clans since I started gaming at the age of 8 in Quake 1. I havent been involved with a clan for about 6 months to 2 years now after my CoD clan died. It just aint worth it anymore.

Psh. Clans never really work out. I think that gangs are much more stronger. But sadly, RPG things don't have them.
I am founder, leader and brain of Team Win Yuo Priti East (WYPE) in Diablo 2. We were Jakal, Saesa, Goddi, Blood_pK, pg- in Diablo2 1.09 on the ArneA PvP Realm. Now there is pg-, Saesa and myself left. We are unrivalled in 4n4 on duellliga.de 09 PvP Server, winning the last two seasons and on our way to winning the current one too. Claning/Teaming is inevitable if you want to accomplish anything in leagues and tournaments and "progaming" overall. For Team matches you need to know your mates and good coordination/strategy always wins over skill alone. What I dont like are Guilds... where you actually try to experience the RPG and give yourself stupid orcnames and talk like that on your clanforum.
Meh I was in D2. I was in the top open battle.net clans throughout about 10 of the most active D2 sites... ZOI, BRH, AI, XxSiC-xX, AMF and LoTuS Basically you dont NEED clanning, I actually did better on the ladders solo (i made #1 elite, #2 99, #3 supreme, #3 bowazon, #3 barbarian, #1 assassin, #1 melee elite) back in the origional 1.09 patch on the most active ladder on the net for USWest/USEast/Euro realms (nightshiver.com/ladderhall.com). Now, despite the fact its in version 1.11b but its possible to duel in 1.09 via version reversers, and 1.09 has become extremely cheap (a lot of stupid tactics were released publically and yeah, its just retarded). In GW I have a guild simply for the fact i liked my cape design lol. Most of the guilds are new guilds with new member who know nothing about the game or they are of an asian/european descent and dont speak english very well. I often tag along with good groups for HoH and stuff, but im a solo guild member.
Oh well, PvM is just T_T anyways. PvP is the King of all disciplines... although everybody tries to abuse every bug that's gone public, like switchlagging, Polish GA Trick, it's most fun, because it is mano y mano... nowadays people just abuse private worldevents and do baalruns ... there is no real skill, just effort put into it. And ORGANIZED PvP is best in 09... with actual rules, a pvp league, tourneys and prices. Not retarded FFA. If you see the rulework for PvP in 1.11 you get sick. It sucks so much, too many sidestash/sideequip etc.
that was PvP... if your doing PvM/PvE in D2 open battle.net your not very bright... i never did PvM except for closed battle.net, but i stopped when all my items were deleted from 1.09 into 1.10. Also, i was referring to organized PvP lol, ladderhall.com is still up and has over 120,000 members.... the 1.09 ladders had around 2000 ACTIVE duelists on it between i think 7 ladders... and ive held #1 1.10 and 1.11 for a while, it takes no skill at all, its as easy as adding attributes and using tape on your mouse while you go get something to eat and come back to the other person being dead. if i still had D2 installed id show you id give anyone except the people i tested with 45 seconds max.
