Well, I know what you have more than likely done... have you bent the cable more than 60* the circumfrence of the cable? Like, on the end, where you plug it in, did you bend it back to plug it in? If so, one of those cables have broke or worked lose inside the cable and you ruint the wire. -__-

    your crt is dieing...

I have several old CRTs that died out on me.

try checking the pins on the end, if any of them are bent, take a flathead screwdriver and line it up..

Also, if it isn't the monitor itself, reseting the drivers might help. That is what I had to do for mine...the drivers got corrupted somehow.

Try messing with your monitor settings, then driver/display control settings, and if that won't work get a new monitor or gfx card.

How long have you had it, they aren't supposed to last forever.. only so many hours on them... more than an LCD I suppose but the qualities are different on different CRTs.

I had that happen to an old CRT of mine (except the green went in mine). I took it down to my local TV repair guy and he fixed it for me. CRT monitors are the same as the older CRT TV's (except the TV's have a tuner in them). So take it and get it repaired (if possible), it should be cheaper.

Check the pins on the cable, Mine where bent and i lost my RED after i reset the pin and pluged it back in carefully i got my Red back, Just make sure none of the Pins are not bent, if so just straighting them out.
