    actually, it could fry a motherboard and most of what's attached to it, probably not the harddrives, but certainely a board and addon cards.

    all it takes is shorting a small secton on the DIMM with either pencil or conductive ink.

    Get a job and buy it new, if you still haven't earned much, try second hand. No one will give you good stuff for free.

    this is blown way out of proportion hes only asking. there is no need for flaming or anything like that, if i have some spare RAM(will have to check) no guarrantees, i might send some for shipping costs
