Was wondering if it was worth introducing a Ripper court here on GR .

I see alot of threads saying , he/she ripped / scammed me .

Whoever gets accused has to provide evidence that they didnt , and the accuser has to provide evidence that they were ripped .

    Thoughts on this ?

    Thanks for looking .

Good Idea. I Think This Would Help People Who Have Been Ripped. And THere Could Be Like A Jail And Like Credits Being Deducted.

Looking at it in a purely critical way (I actually like the idea, though):
    • Who would chair the court? Who would the jury be? What, to my knowledge, currently happens, is that mods/admins would be PM'ed by the ripped, to report the ripper. They would be providing evidence that they had, in fact, been ripped. Following this, staff would be in touch with the ripper, to see if they had any way to defend themselves. If this is what already happens, then what is the need to make is some official, public thing?
    • How do you expect to make the ripper hang around for the "trial"? As soon as they caught wind that they were going to be "prosecuted" over a rip, they would be running. Fast. This, too, also happens already, in cases where a ripper knows they've been caught, and have no other way out.
    • They stopped public executions in Brittain because they were becoming a family outing. If this is made public, it will no-doubt cause a great deal of interest. As such, there is the problem of attention-seeking fools who would abuse the system just to get in the limelight. The making up of cases against people just to get some glory would end up wasting a lot of people's time. Eventually, if this kept up, either the members would lose interest, or the staff would get annoyed and shut it down. It would crash and burn, simply because we are all human.
    Good idea, though.
