Those types of opinions and those of other threads that happen to have dealt with religion. Offend you? Terrible.

the only opinion offending me is "if i found out my child was religious i'd beat their ass".

the question i'm referring to is: "Why force up a religion to your child?"
i still haven't got an answer on that one, the only answer i got was "i don't care about strangers".

all other questions asked by me where just rhetorical questions

The thing is that you don't. You can't force somebody to be Christian. It doesn't work that way. You can raise them the "Christian" way (i.e. Christian values, make them go to church, bla bla bla) because until that kid's eighteen and ready to move on out, he will do whatever it is his parents want (unless it's making a porno, in which case that'd be illegal and time to call up the child abuse hotline).

When you realize what Christianity is, you'll know the answer to your question. However, I'll answer it for you: Christianity isn't the way you were raised or anything like that; it's a way of life, a complete transformation. The only people that've got a say in whether someone becomes a Christian or not are that person and God. Parents can influence beliefs, but so can kids at school, the people at work, or TV. Parents can control what a child does and how he or she does it, but they can't make that child be Christian. You've got to realize that Christianity isn't something as simple as putting new clothes on in the morning. It's not something that you can get from anything in this world.

fair point, but beating your kid untill he prays for jesus, sounds like forcing to me. That's not telling about it anymore..

I find if you piss someone off so much, they can't really come back to say anything, a simple "------ you" and getting up and walking away would have put the mom in her place, if she felt like reacting physically, she could be inprisoned (especially with a video camera and witnesses), and he could be emancipated if his father felt the same way. Win / win.

The police wouldn't imprison a mom for slapping their kid around. But if it was continuous, severe beatings, then the mother would probably go to prison.

The mother should be kicked out of the country. Getting someone to do something through fear is called terrorism!
