1. sorry for calling you catholic, i assumed you were, because the person in the video is. 2. comparing drugs to religion convinced me of how pointless it is to explain myself to you. 3. i would tell my kid about drugs before he even thinks about it. telling him that it's out there, tell him what it can do to people (short and long-term effects). i would explain the differents to soft and hard drugs. And i would tell him that certain soft-drugs is LEGALLY for sale at certain shops in my country. I won't yell at him and say nothing more then "drugs are bad" (while pointing a finger), because that will only result in an increased chance of him using drugs. If he wants to try softdrugs i'll let him, the best way to make it less mysterious and exciting is by just using it. I tried softdrugs, as i tried cigarettes, found out it wasn't special and never got addicted. So no i won't introduce mr. Belt or mr. Fist, if my kid would shift towards the drugs-scene (untill a certain point/border). If he would get addicted to hard-drugs i would sent him to a clinic.
no offense taken... but, you need a reality check. telling someone about something and telling them not to do it is, well it's stupid.
I got confirmed into the Anglican church three years ago. I converted to Wicca the year after that with no problems. I converted to Satanism the year after that with somewhat of a problem. My parents have dispwned me. Isn't religion fun?
He has his right to choose his religion, but I agree with what someone said previously, he donesn't seem to really understand what being an aetheist means or what they revolve around.
i laughed at the way she tries to use religion as punishment "now we're going to church everyday" shes so hypocritical and she claims to be catholic no true devout catholic would act that way in a sense though it seems that kid just wants to rebel against his parents i could be wrong though who knows
Half the people who are either way, religious or atheist, are just that way due to popular oppinion or upbringing Just like it was said in the first post, the kid was just being atheist because he knew he parents wouldn't approve On the other hand a lot of people say they are christian becuase their parents were christians
If you're "Christian" because your parents are/were Christians (that being the reason you "became" one), I'll guarantee you that you're probably not a Christian. Christianity is a transformation, a complete 180 turn from the lifestyle you once lived. Christianity is not something you pick up from your parents. If your parents were Christian, the most they do towards you becoming a Christian is show you what the Christian lifestyle is. The rest is left up to God. People are just the mailmen in Christianity, and that includes the parents. It's amazing how ignorant people are. You can damn Christians because they're all "ignorant" and *all* of them are like the woman in the video and they can't think for themselves and only are the way they are because mommy and daddy were, yet you don't know the first thing of what you're talking about. You don't know the first thing of what you're condemning and by doing that, you're just as ignorant as you make them out to be. Removing your eyes couldn't make you any more blind. And when you say that you "never said they were ignorant," look at what you say about them. Look at your responses in this thread. (not necessarily directed towards you, BlackOpsNoOne, but more of the people in this thread in general)
i hope you're not referring to me. I'm merely thying to get an answer to my questions (which i still haven't recieved yet).
