So heres the deal. When I am in WoW, I cant alt-tab out of it. But, if I am in a different window, and have WoW running, I can alt-tab through the other windows fine.

I thought at first that it was a WoW issue, but apparently that is not the case. I was in a deviant art chat tonight, and it wouldn't let me alt-tab out of that one either, but if it was already minimized or not the active window, I could alt-tab just fine.

I have run three different virus scanners, as well as spyware scanners. So I know its not virus related, or spyware related, as far as my scanners go. If your wondering what scanners I used. I used trend-micro, aol's, and panda.

I recently updated my video drivers. I am running a GeFroce 6600 GT. And thought that might be the issue, and while some people are having problems with the current drivers on the nvidia forums, they are not having a problem that is the same as mine.

I have 1gig of DDR RAM. So I know its not a memory issue either. I also have plenty of hard drive space (well over 2 gigs free on the drive that windows is installed on, as well as over 40gig on the drive that the game itself is installed on). So I know its not a space issue either.

I have tried everything I can think of at this pont, and I am not sure what might be causing the problem. I was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions, or might have come across any site where someone mentioned having similar problems to mine.

Any information, or tips on where to look to find information on fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated as it annoys me to no extent to not be able to tab while playing WoW.

Oh and as a side note, I do play WoW in windowed mode.

let me try look around ...

for the time being, this might be a workaround ...

Does pressing the window key (bottom left) help you to bring up the start menu in which u can get to your desktop?

Perhaps you need a new keyboard :D

I dont understand why a keylogger would just be there so you couldnt alt+tab, so I doubt that its that, unless some SAD git decided to create one..

Thanks tazzy for the information. I will look into it. I thought it might have been a keylogger at first as well, but saw no weird processes running in my task manager. Reckon I will hit up a pc tech support site and see what they tell me.

Check your WOW keyboard configueration and see if those keys are used for something else..then configuer them to new keys that may solve the problem...

maybe do a hijackthis scan if you think you have a key-logger. Will find the process and also registry key so you can remove them.

I've tried everything, except reverting to my old video drivers, because after a search of the nvidia forums, I appear to be the only one with this problem, and I figure if it was a problem with the drivers, there would be more people complaining about it.

I have taken this problem to a forum dedicated to strictly pc repair, so we will see what they have to say.

Cntrl+Alt+delete to get task manager up. Then close task manager, and if you wanna get back in just click on it? I had that issue on Knight Online, Malaysia Edition. That worked for me

I ran HijackThis...it didnt come up with any keyloggers. So if it is a keylogger, someone has it extremely well hidden at this point.
