people will flame you and tell you to make your own, and that alienware is crap, but with what you get with alienware...it gets the job done thats all that counts, although making your comp is cheaper, if you like me and you dont want to, get the alienware
Yeah. People will flame you and tell you to make your own computer. My suggestion to you is, LOWER THE RAM! If you have 1GB put in the Alien then the cost will go down and you can buy better RAM for cheaper from secondary sources. Also, I say that you should build your own unless you are just being lazy and have the money (Like I did).
again build your own, the opteron 165 is a better deal than the x2 3800+(same thing but better manufacturing process more uncorrect links and cache, better fan and same price, OCs better too, I could probably push mine to 3.0GHz on near stock voltage, currently have it at 2.6GHz on below stock voltage[which makes it run cooler and last longer, also uses less energy] completely stable) better yet, wait for Intel's conroe(although it's made by intel it is quite good) it mght not be as good as k8L(or it might be better we'll see) but it's out 6 month earlier... again build your own, for 1400 you can get this today antec TPII 550W PSU opteron 165 or AM2 3800+ 2GB DDR500 or ddr2-800ram DFI SLI-D or compareable AM2 board two(2) 7600GTs in SLI(outperforms the 7900GTX) or an x1800XT(OCs very well capable fo outdoing two 7900GTs in SLi, relatively cheap) 250GB WD cavier drive nice case didn't add up the price, but it's under 1400... will more or less beat out that Alienware board in every aspect after OC... learning to build is relatively simple takes little effort. if you can't build for some odd reason try ibuypower.com, almost as cheap as building yourself(though not quite)
thnx for ur comments, But, I was thinking of wut @AKW: Said, Get 1GB then Buy another GiG from Newegg.com Good Idea But.. No1 really answered my question, Can The PC I Built (1st Post) Run BF2 on High GFX Settings? Thnx Bubbl3s
unless you're installing Ssingle ranked modules, you'll be forced to kick back on the meory clock speed, memory controller can't take it. my advice is tog et the least ram posssible, then to toss it into another system sell it etc, and use standard DIMMs off newegg. or... just build it all yourself bang/$
99% of vendors don't use single sided memory, inf act I have no idea where to find it, it isn't used much any more, just saying, the memory controller on a64s is limited to 2 DIMMS at full speed or 4 single sided modules fullspeed.
ok, but some1 answer me question plz.. Will the Specs (1st post) be able to Run Battlefield 2 on High GFX?
No ----. People don't read current threads and know nothing about wtf they are talking... search b4 posting (ftw.) We always flame people that even put a good adjective next to alienware..
