Ok I was considering I maybe get a website and IPB. I found that this will give me a free IPB (Inivision Power Board) license. From my experience I had with running a InvisionFree board I think I can handle this. I was condering getting the Pro Package. Anyways... I was wondering should I go through with this? I mean cause I want just a website and a IPB. Is also staes this :

Only with IPS Hosting do you get a FREE Invision Power Board license for the duration of your hosting!**

    -

** Free IPB is a version which contains some encoded files and will only run on IPS owned servers.

^ Is that good? The "Free IBP version"?

I would like some good advice since this is my first time trying to do this... *Embarressed*

Just buy hosting separate and get a separate licence.

Obviously they say it's going to be free, they just raise the price of your hosting.

Ok now i'm going to get a IPB license and seperate hosting. Do Database Drivers really matter or should i get mySQL driver? I don't even know what Oracle, mySQL, or MS-SQL except they make a site run.

They are just different kinds of Databases. And don't listen to IPB's all fancy bull---- talk, it may be considered a 'driver', but it's just differnt syntax. It matters what type of DBMS you hosting offers. most offer mySQL and i would suggest going for it (1: its just as good, if not better in most cases 2: the Oracle 'driver' is $60 more.)

I think that host's prices kind of suck, but it appears to have the most recent version of IPB which is a pretty nice bonus..

To be honest, I would just buy an actual IPB license, and get on an actually affordable host if you plan on keeping this site for a long time.
