    I think you should have an advertising forum, that way more people will join to advertise.

    Or they will join just to advertise and never post to become part of the growing community..

    Well if you set a certain post count to have then they will post before and may like the forum.

    It wont happen ever. The reason being that Advertising is one of the perks of being a Premium Member.

    That's the reason why we don't want to put back the Advertising forum. Many people joined just for the reason to advertise there and it was being abused.

    If your board isn't crappy or repetitious like many boards and you think your board will succeed (and not die in a month), then buying banner advertising won't hurt at all. :)

    Yeah I don't think GR will ever bring back the advertising forum.

    As Blackfuse said, that is exactly the reason we don't add an advertising forum. We don't want people to simply take advantage by joining GR with the sole intention of getting some free advertising then leaving after they've done so.
