I don't believe a country should be run according to a religions guidlines so i don't see many advantages with a Theocracy

But a dictatorship is another matter, i'll expand later.

Dictatorship is good only if u have a good dictator, as stated above.

Theocracy is never a good thing because it basically says that you have to believe in their religion or face persecution. This worked back in the olden days when EVERYONE was C.hristian (wtf that's blocked?). Now that the world is a more diverse place with religions everywhere, it is not viable.

Dictatorship is good, until the Dictator gets too greedy. Such as Napoleon, he brought up France's finest days. If the Dictator is fair and equal and cares about the people, there is no reason as to why it wouldn't work. If he stays out of the peoples' way and allows them to work however they want, and make their money any way they want, live wherever they want, there's no reason it should not be able to work.

Okay...they weren't C.hristians. They were Jewish at that time. Theocracy works, if it is God. It did work for the Jews until they turned from God, then he stopped helping. *shrugs* sucks for them, eh?

A dictator only means, "a person exercising absolute power, esp. a ruler who has absolute, unrestricted control in a government without hereditary succession."
That is not bad, if the ruler knows what he is doing, and is a fair man. Usually a good dictator doesn't go bad, until he dies, and someone else takes over, or people get jealous and kill him.

Pretty simple; They both suck and would not last.

Kind of like totalitarinism, communism, and facism.

    dictatorships have one advantage:
    speed

a dictatorship can do things as fast as it pleases, which can be vital in times of war or disaster.
example: cuba was easily able to evacuate areas threatened by katrina b/c of its dictatorship; they just ordered everyone out, and those who didnt leave got dragged out. contrast to america, where people never left their homes. to my knowledge, noone in cuba died from katrina.

theocracy, in this day and age, requires A: total isolation or B: propaganda.

with todays global environment, ideas spread fast. when you have a large body of people, eventually one of them will get the idea in thier heads that they dont like the religion. it happens, face it.
when you have ideas coming in from all over the world, you have to either cut that out thru isolationism and force ( bad idea ) or use propaganda, or both. example: iran. i need to go no further with this.
