    i dont think it will be nearly as successful as WMP. might be a good change tho.

    I agree that it won't surpass WMP, mainly because WMP's been around quite a while and it's pre-installed with Windows. Looks to be an interesting thing though, and I'll have to check it out.

    at least thier trining to make better stuff. it might be an good thing not sure.

    WMP isn't pre-installed in European Windows' anymore

    I've never understood why people like Windows Media Player so much, I've always prefered Winamp, but I guess it's just personal preference. I doubt that Apple's Media Player will pose a threat to WMP, since most people wouldn't look for another one, and WMP isn't that bad.

    I don't think WMP runs on Mac or Linux, but since Adobe Media Player uses the Apollo Runtime (made from Java), it has cross platform compatibility.

    Unlike something like IE, WMP isn't bad enough that everyone wants to switch at the first opportunity.

    I can't see it really going very far, but who knows?
