Most people dont like iFrames, coded site would enable the person to write and the page expands.. there are some people on Gr that will slice and code for a certain amount of credits.

Coding is putting the template on the web, so people can access/use it. Iframes is easy, but not 'professional'.... but it gets the job done. Theres lots of different types of coding; HTML, XHTML, CSS, etc., so its basically what you need done.

If not iframes, use divs and css. Alot better and easier than using tables, more professional, too!

Yeh becuase this thread is here, I thought i'd ask for some specific help. Is there any way in imageready to make a rollover? Or does that have to be done in dreamweaver?

Also, is there any way to put an iframe over an already sliced template anywhere?

make sure the "rollover" window is open, then once you sliced the object, right click the layer on "rollover" window, and add a rollover

*sorry, this isnt EXACTLY how its done, i dont have IR open to compare, this is from memory. But the steps are correct, wording, not so*

rollovers are done with javascript, i also just made a slicing/coding template for grd. It explains how to use iframes because its intended for people who are starting out or are new to coding in general. Ill probably be making an add-on that uses expandable content boxes :D

You should take your time to really learn atleast HTML by heart. I use notepad to code stuff.

thanks for all the replies. if not ifranes u say, use expandable things.. but
iframes is good as you can clicks links and it will only load the ocntent page and not needed to reaload the whole site (banner etc etc). so is there an alternative that does what iframes does but in this sense more "pro". i dont see y people dont like iframes?

i like iframe alot. the expandable table needs alot more coding and most exact code on diff html file(s) but with iframe it should save you alot of time and so on...

but there are likings and there like other way to do things its just what your used at and good at going.

yea so if your a programmer, you would want to do things more "profesional" and exploring other things and get use to it and so on..

and for the roll over on image ready...
first you slice the button or what ever you want to roll over on top of something in photoshop.
and then go to imageready then Windows->Web content(a window will pop up)
in there, you will see all the thing that you sliced and so on
select the one you want to roll over and on the buttom right hand side of that window, there is a buttom called "creat roll over state"

after click that...you can do anything; like enable layer(s) or animation roll over and so on.....

but i suggest learning flash, its way eiser to roll over with animation and so on...

so that's my input i hope in somewhat it helps...

if a template is 'coded', that means it works. its not just an image you look at. it is a file(s) that you can put onto a server and the world can browse the site. all the buyer has to do is type in what they want to say. everything else works. ie links and rollovers change color. every site on the web that you click stuff and sh** happens is coded. the imageshack files that ppl post here, are images, not coded templates
