so, let's say...I am a web-designer, which I am. I just registered, then I submit one of the sites I have created. Is that what I am supposed to do? or submit external resource sites? I am not sure what this is about. I signed up and submitted one of my projects, but I want to make sure what this is about and what I am supposed to with , since I am the designer and not the person looking for one.
The website is a registry of portfoiios basically so you can put up your portfolio link in the website, so when you register, you submit your portfolio link to the website, then when a person looking to buy looks through our registry they can click on your portfolio and see if they want to hire you or not.

I wasn't saying it wasn't advertising, frankly I was just not responding to your statement, I was helping out the other guy. If you don't like the site then don't join, but just because I post about a site to help others get jobs from clients I don't think people should get so upset.
Then don't join the site, I don't mind if you don't. But frankly I have noticed there have been quite a few members joining from here which means they found it helpful. It's a website to help people, yes I am advertising to help others, if you don't like my advertising then please do not join my site, since my site is for advertising on it.
Its not that we dont want to join, is that we're trying save you from getting banned. Just post the layout and get ctrisized. You made a whole intro for advertising. No matter if it helps others or not, we dont want advertisement here.

If it is your site, you are a part of the staff, or you are affiliated with the owners, then it is advertising. Just the act of linking to a resource site (which this would be classified as) is not the Advertising you can be banned on GR for. And there was another site like this I visited a while ago, but, for the life of me, I cant remember what it was. It was called "Coder looking for Designer" or something =/
