Wormholes is a theory that, since the universe "bends" due to gravity that it can randomly bend in crazy amount, causing many to believe that space bends enough to travel massive distances over short periods of time.

i thought wormholes were just holes on the ground dug up by...well....worms.

everyday you learn something new. miracle of life (and the internet). who needs college or university when you have this

It's all crap. Humans can not possibly comprehend the Universe at all, heh, even most of the stuff you read in Science Books up until University is crap (Proven).

The Universe could have also been created by Anti-Matter. When particles are created, Positive particles, they must also release a negative version. In the right settings, and if in enough mass then the negative particles can create something huge. 1/4 gram of anti-matter is enough to destroy an entire city.

arent worm holes and black holes just collapsed stars? and i dont think its possible to survive going through one, but if you could htat would be quite interesting and this white hole theory is a little weird but interesting

thats a belief in science that wormholes are ruptured in the solar system created by super novas (stars that have died and i believe its imploded, it could be exploded), yet there isnt a star weve recorded close enough or without danger that we can explore (the closest being th sun, which is a relatively small star compared to usual stars).

the rupture isnt a tear like a rupture would traditionally mean, its a distubance to the flow that creates shortcuts so to speak where gravitational/centripetal force is increase over partciular areas. Think about it this way, the faster your enter a turn, the more force is exerted on you, but you get around it faster, thats a wormhole, its like being sucked into a corner on like a nascar track and rapidly sped through until the exit, which is much farther away from your initial planning of where you would be at this given time in space. if we can make it around a corner on earth that fast, exaggerate that enough to a full universe worth comparison and thats the type of force youd be flinging around the galaxy in in order to reach your destination at an extremely high speed.

The closest star we could ever potentially study within view is the sun, which we cant get close enough to in the first place when its live and when it dies, it will destroy the entire planetary system we are in currently. Currently we, as humans, see no possible way within our generation to be able to make it far enough to conduct tests on a star, much less whoever went would surely be incapable of returning as the time it would take to reach the star would be pretty much life times amongst life times, meaning youd need to find a way to stock atleast 1 full family for generations on a spaceship, they would need a semi-hospital, know birth information, etc.

isn't there a theory that all of space is a curve? by the way, if you want to know who came up with most of this stuff, I refer you to general relativity theory and one mr. albert einstein. so, if I'm thinking along the right lines here, a black hole is basically inifinite mass in an infinitessimal area. would a while hole be the opposite? does it have mass? if black holes attract everything (even light), would white holes repel everything? I'm thinking if you could somehow survive falling into a black hole, it would be impossible to fall into a while hole. (one way street) this certainly seems to sync up with the theory that the universe is expanding, but isn't there more than one black hole? would that mean more than one white hole? more than one source for all expanding matter? do they eventually cancel each other out? what would happen if they were to come close enough to react with each other? can they react with each other?

    my head hurts... ^_^

Infinity is not a number. Its the term used to describe numbers going on forever without ending.

You are using the Bernini code to sound smart? Good boy :)

And im not really in to space things, but isn't it al just pondering bullsh*t and no prove. Just like the theory that Molecules have atoms, which is based on a little test. Allright it was proven to be correct, but it's still weird to say that things are true with just math on your side to prove it, and no vacation snapshots or souvenirs.

No one knows that. All a black hole is, is a collapsed star that sucks everything in it in a certain distance, and even light cannot escape it. I think that if someone got sucked into a black hole they would get torn into pieces and explode. The force of the sucking would instantly kill you.

I know this is old but i find this topic interesting.

Black holes theoreticly suck and compress the objects that get sucked into it, does that mean white holes Uncompress or just spits it out like wast particles?

Whats the difference between a wormhole, a blackhole and a whitehole why don't we just group them into one - assholes!
