Another 512 for me helped my games performance. I've got 1 1/4 gigs of RAM now.

Of course it will help..but it may not be your ram. What are your other system specs? Processor and gfx card?

I have a 2.4ghz cpu (intel celeron) and a crappy Nvidia Geforce5200fx I cun run practicly any game that's avalible at the moment but some get a bit laggy like 15 fps and keep skipping frames....i need the ram anyway for more power in general....but i would also like to improrve gaming performance without spending alot of money (im only a teenager and i dont have alot of money)

definately, but those specs in general arent helping ur pcs perfomance.

make sure u get ddr 400 ram. thats important.

just ask for 512meg DDR 400 Ram. or 1024 w.e. but it has to be ddr400.

you will not see much improvement. YOu have a gfx card from 2-3 years ago and that cpu is brutal.

you will see more performance by upgrading gfx card. Just upgrade to a cheap 9800pro which will not cost you much and your game performance will increase heaps!

I dont know where you live. Search around on the net for local stores or on ebay. ebay would be a better idea, cheaper and they are most of the time realiable.

i suggest u upgrade your card

  14. it doesn' matter if its ddr 400, it matters how much speed his mobo can handle. if he has a pc2700 (ddr333 i believe), and you plug in a ddr400 ram (pc3200), it'll still run at pc2700 speed.

Yea well on newegg a 9800 would be 70-100 bucks..
With what you have now, you wont be able to handle many future games..
