yourself. Your body. Everything works together, if you were missing one part, you could be dead. You think that's an accident? That one day BAM, a person was created and everything just happened to work perfectly?

    yes. WE'RE Ignorant.
    Mk.

I'll base my life on a book, how god damn clever am I! (No Pun Intended)

No one can explain how the earth got started, but thats no reason to assume there's a god. Thats like not being able to solve a maths question so giving some random answer like "Elephant". Heh, I got nothing against religion, but don't try and force your religion on people, cause i'm preety sure your god woudn't like that. ;)

Since no one can explain how the earth got started that's no reason to assume there's not a God.

Every single theory of how the world, universe, stars, galaxies, black holes, etc. ever got started is 100% unproven. Every act you do in life needs faith, nothing is 100% certain, and we have no reason to tell you how we think the world came to be, why think of things more than 2000 years ago when you can thikn of the present. As far as im concerned, there is a world, there are stars, there is a computer in front of me and a keyboard under my hands... but guess what, all of what I mentioned just require faith. You could be potentially in an eternal dream state where anything is possible and you just think your typing on a keyboard. When i type the letter "n" im assuming an "n" is gonna show up (requiring faith), when i hit the "start" button on a microwave, i assume its going to start.

i dont feel a need or desire to comprehend something that my measly mind cannot possibly comprehend. If thousands upon thousands of scientists who have studied the galaxies their entire lives cant figure it out, it would be a rather odd case study if a 17 y/o goth kid who got kicked out of high school simply to go to college could be able to figure it out.

Except for the fact that our bodies....DON'T work perfectly. If they did, there would be no such thing as genetic deformaties, because had our bodies been designed by an intelligent being those defective genes would never had existed. But they do.

Why are neck injuries so common? Because the neck is actually very small for having to hold up the head, skull, and brain. ANY jarring of it whatsoever can cause injury to it. That doesn't seem very perfect to me.

I do not like religion. I am an atheist who has studied several different religions and was raised Catholic. When I was 10 years old I was kicked out of CCD classes for asking things like why the Bible would say one thing in one place and the complete opposite elsewhere. If a 10 year old can figure that sort of stuff out....well.

I had a debate with someone once over whether morals came from religion or not. What it comes down to, though, is that 1) morality existed BEFORE religion, and 2) religion is invented by humans, therefore morals come from humans, not a higher being.

I have noticed many religious people who act very hypocritical - so long as they confess, they're okay! I also have noticed that of everyone I know, those of us who are atheist or agnostic tend to be much happier than those who are religious. No false standards to live up to.

However, I'll never tell someone they're wrong if they're religious....just don't try and push your beliefs on me. I don't appreciate it, it pisses me off and offends me. I'm not telling you you can't believe in a god, so you have no place in telling me that I'm going to go to hell because I don't. Judge not lest ye be judged, remember?

    ^^ Winnar.

I didn't say there wasn't a god, that was my belief however. Since no one can explain how the earth started isnt a reason for me to believe in god either though.
