I know how to build desktops but I think its my time to get me a laptop since im going to be traveling from alaska to texas twice every two months. I'm not to fond of which is the best company. Thats where you helpful guys come in. The only thing that I know I want is a 100 gig hd 7200 rpms. Dvd burner(doesn't have to be lightscribe) Intel® Core 2 Duo processor (atleast 1.66) 1 gig ram+ Wireless Internet (can be card or whatever) Something close to the 7600 video card Under $1800 with being able to pay month to month.
Try HP, I own two of them and they have never given me problems. At work I purchase HP laptops for all the employees. Try going through Costco, they have a 6 month no question return/exchange policy. That's where I bought all of my HP's. I've upgraded laptops every 6 months. Goodluck.
