i remember when even a slight amount of chop in a render got you completely pwned or a small amount of white line around the edges. and sigs were basic usually grunge the occaisional smudge sig, shyte manip sigs (except for rendagades) tuts were free alias was leading the charge in developing new styles or variations on them. kaz was a brushmaker more than a renderer lol ive been here ages and still havent made 1000 posts yet
I remember when people helped each other, 1000 credits was A WHOLE LOT, I remember the WW and C42 brush pack craze, Jesseboi and his attitudes. As for those who think staff members are one sided and dont care about the members and think we are biased based on your name or member group, think again. I for one dont judge one member higher than another because they are premium or even donator, you all get treated the same. I am really pushing the fines for the ripper/scammer section lately because when we have to sort through other posts to try and figure out what happened it takes more time and can get frustrating. I even updated the rules to state "if you have something to add to the thread, please PM a staff member the proof/info and a link back to the thread". Its not a tough thing to do. I try and help everyone out as soon as I can with their issues, so please try and help us out when we are trying to help out someone who feels they have been wronged, the faster we can get it settled, the faster we might be able to get to your issues that you might be having at that moment. I know alot of you like to help out, but help us in the correct manner, by PM'ing us the info you may have. If you notice in the section, some people have been accused or something, and it turns out to be a misunderstanding or the accuser didnt have all the information, and someones name could potentially be scarred because of a false accusation.
But i've seen you fine people for trying to help, and i think it's unfair, but that's only my opinion i guess.
If I fine one person who isnt helping and I dont fine the other, one person will complain I am unfair in who I fine, the rules state only staff/accuser/accused can post in the section, so by default I have to fine anyone else, even if they are trying to help. I do appreciate the gesture of helping, but please, if you have more info to add, PM a staff member the info. It helps us try and settle the matters faster.
Yeah, but whatever. I remember when we had IPB 1.3 And the banner was of that dude from fable and it was yellowish-goldish. When I used to give out free custom halo2 renders, and when I had my old name, but enuough about that. When ranks wasn't everything, when brushed abstract was taking over. And when people made c4d sigs, they were cluttered. And when there was a whole bunch of free stuff shops going around. I remember alot more stuff, but meh.

Yes, I know I fined you. And that means I am doing my job, I may not like fining/banning/suspending members, I truley dont 98% of the time. But sometimes I am not really given any other options. I dont abuse my limited powers, I have been with GR along time, and have seen alot come and go, members, fads and alot of staff. This place evolves rapidly and often, and is the reason why we have to make/change the rules, people will always try and test the rules. The reason I changed the fine amount, is because people didnt seem to be getting the hint when they were fined, so I took a vote on raising the fine amount and it was approved, to try and limit the amount of people posting in the section, once people get the hang of it, and help the correct way, I am sure we can adjust it back.
