    It's not lame, I'm asking what it means and I still don't understand it. I still aren't going to attempt to use this tutorial.

    thanks guys

    @ Lunar: It means, the layer which your just did, you set it to "Lighten" you do this by selecting it and then clicking the drop down menu above the layer viewer. You then leave the layer at 100% opacity.
