A Gamer Suicide

Forgive me for not being entirely specific but the main idea of that post was that the guy is dead and people are talking crap about him. Can't tell the difference? Did I not talk about depression and suicide just above that there? Maybe you need some help with reading entire posts.

 

Pretty much exactly what I said. There is nothing easy about suicide. But only people who have been there and tried it would know.

Comitting suicide must be a really hard thing to do, and I can't see how someone is a coward if he actually did it, instead of chickening out like most people would do.

Lets say you guys that consider yourself so tough and cool, would go through everything this guy had to do through, you would probably get really depressed, and depression can lead to suicide, so if you'd get as depressed as he was, you'd very likely think about suicide, would you be "coward" enough to actually do it, or be very very brave and not having the guts to swallow some pills or something. Like someone said before, when you're really depressed you just think of yourself as a burden for everyone, and everyone would be happier without you, so you think of suicide to make your friends and family happier, because you think they would be when your dead. I don't think noone of you guys would be brave enough to actually kill yourself. So don't call him a coward, you don't even know what he went through.

He is dead right? Then he must have died, you can't be dead if you never died. You can die by getting hit by a car, or by killing yourself. Either way, you died.

 

Really, it's no solution... why do people wanna kill themselves, almost any kind of modern life is better then death.

Even if they would take away every possession I had, right his instant I wouldn't want to die, if they take all my money accuse me of murder and want to put me in jail.. whatever, life is just to precious to waste on society-induced modern problems.

Sure they are far from cowards, but to state suicide is a good solution even with such problems...

that's right, think It shows that you cant think rational at some times, if they were to completely prevent him killing himself, maybe he would have been thankful for it in the end. Taking your life can never help people that care for you/you care for. Lack of moral support was what killed this guy.

i dont agree with sucide but it much be really hard to do like i cudent picture my mom or my friends if i died i cudent do that to them

well ... people kill them selves every day get mudered every day i mean it is a sad story and all but i dont see how you actuly call him "brave" men go to war die doing duty not commenting suicide cause of problems.
its just burdens its not like some one was comeing after you with a gun and there was no hope.

if he wasent an idiot he would of learned moved on ive faced alot of hardship in my life i just look beyond whats happening look how i can improve my life step at a time.

May I hijack your post and add elements of kleenex, baby lotion, underwear catalogues and an unhealthy obsession with Willow from Buffy (not Alyson Hannigan, mind you, it's gotta be Willow "cuz she's a lezzer"), dreaming of the day when he has a girlfriend who's not pixilated.

For all you guys who're ranting on about cowardice, idiocy and, for some bizarre reason, homosexuality, you're either ignoring the fact the guy was clincally depressed, or maybe you just don't understand the big words. Depression is, for the most part, a chemical imbalance - just like the crazy stuff I've seen people do to themselve on PCP, crack, meth, etc. I deal with the results of even crazier stuff from non-depressed people, no excuses there. I wonder if you guys would be equally sympathetic if a close family member or friend suffered the same levels of depression.

 

Yeah, I read about this in school from Yahoo Game news, I called a few of my friends over who play games a lot, and they just shook their heads and said "thats sad". I tend to agree...

 

Posts like yours, and SomeThingCreepy's, remind me that there is still SOME decency in humanity.

My theory is, people who talk about it being cowardly and idiotic understand NOTHING about depression and the only 'depression' they've suffered is the 16 year old emo version of it "whaaaa my mommy gave me an 11 pm curfew so I'm going to go cut myself and write crappy poetry and listen to HIM". Crap like that is why so many people now don't take depression seriously - until someone they know who has real depression tries to or does take their own life.
