Ok well A Clockwork Orange has got to be my favorite book and movie of all times. I mean Stanley Kubric was awesome at directing the movie and Anthony Burgess is a literary genious. The movie also is really good. I mean they're (man characters) supposed to eb ahrd core killers and the movie/book opens up with them drinking some milk. How many other people have read and seen the movie and like it?
I like and love the movie and book. I found out about it from Conkers Bad Fur Day, I loved the opening and final scene where they copy it . Got me googling it.
I watched the movie a couple of years ago, and had absolutely NO idea what was cracking on.. It was so confusing lol, like watching Pulp Fiction for the first time with no sound..
Thanks for catching that man. Iw as typing so fast I forgot to add that Stanley Kubrick was the director and Burgess was the writer. xD @Chaos: Yeah, but its still hilarious @Wytner: Yeah you probably want to read the book first. The book is confusing because of all the wierd language, but still pretty easy to follow.
I saw the movie and it was kind of hard to follow to be honest, I mean they go from being awesome to people in a loony bin. >_> Also, the part where that dude was banging those 2 hookers in FastForwards was funny ----.
Don't feel like starting another topic even though this one is 2 years old. Anyways, this is probably one of the greatest films in history. You cannot just watch it once, specially at a young age. You need to see this film atleast twice to fully understand it or read the book. Also the soundtrack is badass too.
I've heard it is an extremely uninteresting movie. It sounds like a movie that is very overrated like Fight Club. My opinion, of course. What is it even about? Can someone explain the story to me within a few sentences that explains what happens, and why it is soooo good?
lol clearly if you think Fight Club is over-rated the problem is with your movie tastes, not with the movies themselves. Also no one can sum up in a few sentences what happens in CO and why it is so great. Your opinion (of course) is worthless since you're commenting on "what you've heard" not what you've experienced.
