Agreed. A relationship should always and often be filled with love and flowers and chocolates and surprises. I do however believe that it takes everyone's mind off the normal crap society throws at us all year round, and lets us focus on that love and friendship that binds us. I enjoy the holiday as its one of those days where if you have some1 you love ( I mean it when I say it I don't say it to everything or everyone, takes time for me to start to love someone. Been with my gf for 4 years now so there are different things to take account for maybe I don't know.) But its a great holiday to forget about problems\situations and just focus on one thing caring for someone and being cared for. thats just my opinion. o.o
It's just a corporate "holiday" to sell over priced cards and flowers to attempt to show you "love" someone. Pretty pathetic. There's ways you show you love someone, being there for them when they are down, and helping them back up again. Always being around, supporting them and never giving up hope for them. Making them feel good day after day, even when you cant be with them due to circumstances. Over priced flowers and cards show ------ all, and it's sad that some relationships rely on 1 day to try and prove themselves to their partner to keep them going. The whole fad will never, ever take an effect on me, and if I ever have to rely on showing someone I love them on this 1 "special" day of the year, I may as well be single.
I love the holiday. Most people that hate this holiday are lonely virgins and people who don't have boyfriends or girlfriends. It's like the easiest holiday for guys to get laid because the girls who don't have dates or boyfriends are looking to get some. just my 2 cents.

1 - That is almost 100% of the time the other person in the relationships fault for male vs women relationships. Why? Women want to be sure you love them before they spread their legs. I love you is like the key to their... quite literally, gooey center. However, that is year round, not just Valentine's. 2 - I think that is more of a personal problem. Ok My 2 Pennies on this topic and on this day. I've never had a Valentines before so, I don't know where to start. Mostly because everyone in real life thinks I'm a creepy ------ before they even get to know what is inside. I can barely start a conversation with a girl or keep it going. Don't know what the ------ I'll do in real life after I'm out of college, as sometimes it is hearbreaking seeing others cuddling and ---- while I sit in the corner and eat lunch alone xD. Kind of sucks to be me if you put it that way. Apart from that I love Valentines day, it is a type of Day made for lovers if you ask me. Colour red is the colour of your blood, the colour your eyes turn when you watch way to much TV or play to many video games, it is also known as the Colour of Lovers. Don't know but I've always liked this colour... Anyways, ignore the BS that I just posted, as I'm tired and kind of alone atm hahaa...yeah.. Just learn how to love and you will get what you want in return .. I guess..
