If you are going to game i reccomend you get an ATI card. My 128mb card has served me well - It was £25 alot less than what ou are going to spend!
right. AMD's are better. They have a higher clock speed than intel and it works differently thus better for gaming. The more ram the better. 512mb will just do but to be safe get 1gb
i need to know if i dont get the new mother board now will the performance of my video card not be good
oh crap! the 3200 is only 2.0 GHz! i need atleast a 3500+ for it to work anyway can someone please answer my question:- thanks
so if i buy the amd athlon 3200+ and upgrade my ram to 1 GB , the 6800 ultra will thin be able to work normally on my computer without getting that new motherboard?
yea semprons are on the way out. 754 socket arent gonna be around for much longer. go with a 939 socket Athlon i recommend 3200+
yea thats what am buying , but is it like just a lil diff from my current intel processor or VERY diffirent? but since the 3200+ isnt enough for half life 2 lost coast , i think ill get the 3500+ wich has 2.2GHZ and a 512MB Stick , since my whole point was to make my computer perfect for half life 2 lost coast yea i know i need a new one , but what am saying is , if i dont buy the motherboard now , but buy the athlon 64 3200+ , will the 6800 ULTRA work normally? (ill buy the motherboard but later)
No YOU CANNOT use the same motherboard. Intel and AMD are two different cpu companies thus requiring different motherboards. Just get this it will run everything fine: amd 3000+ or 3200+ Gigabyte GA K8NF-9 Sapphire x800GTO The graphics card will run everything. And dja stop giving him bad advice.
oh so for the amd athlon 64 3500+ to work , it needs that new motherboard? will that really sucks , its like buying a whole new computer, and the x800GTO isnt really good is there any other good cheaper mother board that i can use the athlon on it? i mean as long as it has pci-e slots and athlon can be used on it , its okie right?
