Ok 3 band sigs, am i geting better? 1 Adema 2. Slipknot 3. Papa roach Please tell me what i cud improve on each and marks out of 10! Give me tips!!!!!!
i like the 2nd 1 the best. dont like the others. 1st sig: bevel doesnt cut it for a border. 2nd sig: no real complaints i like it 3rd sig: the Grunge text doesnt go well w/ it.
*Puts on critisicm hat* First one: Render: You have done better on your render this time. Your render was well cut, and it looks liek you just lowered the opactiy. I dislike the fact that you just lowered opactiy. I think that you should have done a quick mask and brushed lightly to blend it even better. The storke looks decent, but it might have looked better with an outer golow(If that is an outer glow..maybe try making it a little bit bigger) Background: A decent attempt at grunge. Definitely annika von holdt, but it would look better if you didn't use so many of the ones with text on them, or if you do...Just use the part with no text. The sig looks good as black and white, and I think color would hurt it more then help Text: omg..Please delete that text off of your comp. Imo, It doesn't look good in any sig/ The stroke is kinda big, but the actual effect on the inside looks decent. Better then your last sigs...Other then the font Border: I really dislike this type of border. It just doesn't look good on any type of sig. A three pixel with no blending would have looked better on this sig. But at least you variated a bit...This is a sign of growth Rating: 5/10..font and border killed ye Second One: Render: Very nice render...looks hot with the background imo. But you messed up a bit when cutting some of the spikes on the dude on the rights hair, and a little bit of the other dudes hair. The outer glow looks decent. I think that you should have colored the render to match the sig. This would have made the sig much better imo. Background: From what I can see...You used winter grace brushes...Very nice set imo. The brushing is nice on the sig, but you could have gotten a bit heavier with it. The coloring is good, but a color balance would have brought it out even more. If not a color balance, then a darker shade of red. Text: Finally..you whipped out some decent text ..The smaller stroke looks good on the text, and black was a good color choice. Your attempt at an interior effect was decent, but it is to multicolored for my taste. If it had just been sahdes of red in there, your text would look better. Border: Three pixel border...Good colors...No problems here Rating: 8/10...one of the best ive seen you make yet aside from what I already harped on Third One: Render: The render has a glitchy cut, and the lack of effects makes it even worse. The render deson't seem to match the Bg...Focusing on how your render matches is an important aspect of a sig. On top of all of that..Its just funny lookin Background: This background is very similar to the one you used on the first one...So I have the same problems with it. Way to many text brushes. Wihout the text brushes, the sig would look much better imo. Not gonna go any further with this one..just relate to my comments on your first bg Text: What posses people to use the Base 02 font is beyond me. I think it doesn't look good on any sigs, except for a few situations. This is not one of them. The effect is decent, and this might actually look better with a larger stroke . The smaller font for the quote is just bad...White stroke was not a good choice, and takes away from the sig... Opactity Bar: Get rid of it. They don't look good on sigs imo. They just take away from the background. Border: Good 3px border with nice colors...no probs here Rating: 4/10 text and render are just not very good..no offense And yes..you are getting better
