The first Olympics held in south America, I believe? What do you guys think? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Olympics
Chicago woulda been pretty cool for 2016 but hey its the first one for South America. So more power to them.
This. Happy to see it get to South America for the first time, we can wait a little bit to get another turn when they haven't even had one, haha. Should be cool to have it there though
I would have loved chicago as it is only a 4 hour drive and i could of attended some of the events but maybe they will show some beach action in rio
I'm from Chicago I'm so bummed about it =_= out in the first round of voting... I expected it to come down to chicago and tokyo :/ and tokyo went out second. In the long run it just means I won't be going, but I'll still watch it on tv.
I just thought it was great watching the faces of all the people gathered in Chicago when they announced Rio had won thier bid. I think its far more important to put it in a untouched vinue. I mean if I were an Olymic calibur athlete I wouldn't want to travel down the street for the damn Olymics! Take me to twhere the sexy bodies and hot accents are.
Yeah thats what he was saying anyways...doesnt really matter to me where it happens...I know it will be hard to top chinas opening ceremony..So I'm glad we didnt win it...We can't compete with that..I was amazed at there ceremony...
