I like the second picture best, I think it would have been the winner if it had a bit more editing in like PhotoShop..

Nice names on those pictures.

 

My name is clearly in the upper left, bright white text on a black background. I've labeled every single entry since I started entering the photo comp. Just because I don't want big ugly text drawing away from my photo doesn't mean that there isn't any text at all (I'd even integrated it into the photo at first, but it was too hard to find because there's so much going on). Quit looking for ways to bring people down by trying to DQ them. If the staff have no problem with it, I don't see why you should.

MP, I laff as well. I don't think nath4n realizes that all of my photos go through standard post processing in Lightroom and Photoshop, and this one had much more than just the standard stuff done to it

Anyhow, the voting will undergo a bit of a change. I'll be including a public vote as well the next time. But it will probably count for less than the staff vote, just to go against friends voting on friends and stuff.

Kidding, of course, but I kinda like this idea. Less room for complaint, and staff votes still count more. Sounds good to me.

I'm gonna see if I can learn enough about lighting to do a portrait in the studio for this. I'll have to figure out what sort of look I want. Hmm... We'll see. I've only set up lights on my own once now, and I only used one light.

 

I'm leniant on that rule. it's not because your name is on it that it can't be from someone else. So that's no gain against rippers or anything.
(might even remove it all together)

 

But I like spicing up my borders with the fancy text!

We didn't get to vote on this round . I think that's changing though, if SP remembers (he is quite old for a penguin, I think I might start calling him Senile Penguin).
