Well what's your connection speed? I can max out my 10mb (which is secretly 20mb) connection regardless of time of day or sexual persuasion.
It's because Rapidshare itself caps the download speed to a maximum 20 megabytes per second and not more than that even if you're connection is 30GBPS. Megaupload and Megashares however, have unlimited download speeds which have gone upto 150MBPS at a time..
Anywhere. I'm absolutely elated whenever the download is at 250kb/s... a 1/4 of what I should be getting.
Not everywhere will give you a full speed connection. Obviously you just don't know how to download properly.
Using P2P I guess or some other source that doesn't have its own dedicated servers like paid premium website (RS, MU etc..). Try download something off Megaupload using a premium account.. Or use FTP or w/e
Even with premium downloads like that the max I get is 250kb/s and I go "yeyy!!!!" Shaw is known to throttle connections. This is Soviet Canada. Internet download you. Slowly.
wow for that starter package at $70 you can get a 22/5 package with Comcast but Comcast caps you at 250GB a month unless you get their business package. In the US for that starter package you would be paying anywhere from $20-25 so you are getting screwed big time
I have the Comcast 22/5 package so I don't feel your pain as much, but I would chime in for support saying I can easily download more than 100GBs pre-month. Hell. I've used close to 400GBs when there was no cap here. Watch a few HD videos and you'd kill most of that 100GBs.
20Mbt/s (Usually at 1.3-1.6MB/s download) upload at 5Mbt/s) for about 40 euros a month, cable. (Non-capped) Soon getting glassfiber here, 100mbt/s, can't wait!
