as you stated in your first post, you were uneasy about the right column, and that kinda draws my attention as well. I personally liked your other site better, and think it would give you better business. Definately a top notch site all crit aside.
personally i dont like it very much at all. If your going for a professional highly graphical site it is often a lot nicer to do a darker skin with atleast navigation rollovers and have a flash intro into a site with a nice flash header. its currently being upgraded, but shadowness.com is a site similar to what I am talking about. They promote a dark, yet extremely professional site (which making a professional dark skin is quite hard if you really try to do it) and its also very clean, yet experienced at the same time. Personally I would rate your site at about a 6/10. I know firsthand it takes experience to do what you did, but to the naked eye of someone who would be looking for professional designers, it wouldnt strike someone as that being an extremely difficult site to make nor extremely appealing. I will be sure to look for more sites that promote an extremely professional feel with a lot of graphics, yet to the naked eye its not simple, just to give you an example. Also, yes, flash plays a HUGE roll in professionalism in sites like yours.
Hm yeah Ive heard of shadowness. The flash was a minor rushed thing. I might have my designer redo it since hes more skilled in flash. Id rather keep it to have a light layout for this version but might go dark for the next. Thanks for the input man
