My Friend wants a new computer for gaming on stuff like BF2 and he has a budget of £600 but he said he might be able to push his parents to £700. I was wondering what he could get for that amount. Also hes not very keen on the ideo of making the computer himself but ive been telling him to order the parts and do it himself. If possible could someone get one comp for £600-£700 a Pre-made comp and one for a Non-Pre-Made Comp so i can show him the difference please?

Whoever can get me that will get like 20 cred or something depending on how good the the links are and how much detail there is.

    Thanks lots :)

it can be done based off of price/performance and availability

    athlon x2 4200+
biostar Tforce board(cheap and OK OCer)
    2GB patriot LLK(OCs very well)
    Radeon x1800XT
    some cheap case
    antec TPII 550W PSU
    250GB seagate baracuda with PRM

somethign like that, then OC a bit and BAM reason i recomended the 4200+ over the 3800 is ebcause it has a better HSF included, thoughyou could get a scythe mine HSF for about the same price diference if desired.
