V1, love the coloring. I'm thinking the blur is a bit strong around the corners, that's it. Not much else to do, unless someone sees something.

Render is bad, yeah. Seems like it's got odd gradients all over it. Better render, better wallpaper.
I'm not sure about the light flare under the guy's eye, looks out of place. Maybe tone it down a bit?
For the second one, add a gradient to the handle. It'll make it match a bit better. Nice though.

2nd one isn't that bad, not enough contrast though. Check some tuts, you'll get better.
It's a bit LQ on the vector, what did you use? Brushset, font, or vector set?
