too much haze and it looks imbalanced also, try a more interesting color combination and some more brilliant effects
first one needs better colors and a more interesting composition . . . there's really nothing to look at second one has too much contrast and...

take out that typo and ditch the topaz, bro colors in first are best but it could use some strong yellows to make it pop

looks more like a distortion filter than smuding you need to get more creative with your composition . . . a simple > . < focal isn't too appealing
