V2 seems a bit empty, I like V1 better as well as the great lighting from the lightning. A great piece of work.
I dunno, I think this smudging looks great, even without depth to create a very nice blend of the sprite with the smudge. It's as if it's all one...
You could probably get rid of a lot of the random 1 pixel specks that seem out of place and it would look better IMO. Great sig though.
