chmod the folder its contained in, its not letting u in, which would explain the access error, and because it cant get it, it cant find the file,...

Sound cards can make a huge diff. in framerates for games such as BF2 which require lots of cpu power for its sound processing.

get a decent tan color in your color option, then just add a sligh transparency, leave all the other boxes unchecked, that might work
or u can look in the eagames folder, im pretty sure if u started the "start a standalone server" option, youd be able to run a ded.
well, it less depends on your pc that ur using than ur connection, unless youve got an incredible connection, i wouldnnt try to start a server
doing the whole targa thing is terribly unnecassary, just select quicktime png (obviously not in his case :/ ) and check the alpha channel box,...

use fraps for recording stuff ingame, use camtasia for video tutorials and that sort of stuff, both are excellent software
