I rip the CDs using Windows Media Player 11. If your connected to the internet whilst ripping, all the information is automatically applied....
Try updating your version of iTunes. The lates version can be found here. Many bugs have been fixed in this release.
If you don't have an iPod, I recommend that you don't use iTunes. If you do, there are other software alternatives that you can sync your iPod...

You need 2 sound cards to do this. Its a good setup for dedicated gamers, but not worth the hassle otherwise.
