That norton can't detect, yeah.. PEOPLE, NORTON SUCKS! ok... Norton... 1. takes up an immense amount of system resources, unless you have 1gb...

ok, easy.. download Knoppix. it is a CD Bootable OS (Live CD). It is Linux based. you can burn Cd/DVD's, and get files from your hard drive....
I agree. I use both Avast Pro and Nod32 Pro. they use up less ram than Norton or AVG...
its nice to be able to test all the AV's, but ultimately, the only thing to fix it is by doing a full format, and start fresh... backup...

yes, you can even disable the Shut down button, so make sure you know what it is before enabling or disabling it..
